
George Njenga will be stepping down as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective 31 March 2026.
Mr. Njenga joined LTWP in November 2024. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening relationships with critical stakeholders and partners, including Kenya Power and Lighting Company, Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) and the Ministry of Energy. He also supported the establishment of our business development function, strengthened Board oversight & governance, and contributed to leadership development and staff welfare initiatives.

Following this transition, the LTWP Board has commenced a process of identifying a Chairperson with the requisite credentials to guide the company into its next phase.

In the interim, Mr. Willy Ireri, a member of the LTWP Board and Executive Director of Osprey Renewables, will serve as Acting Non-Executive Chairperson to ensure continuity of governance.
