NOTE: This internship is exclusively for candidates from Laisamis Constituency The IT Intern will assist the IT department in providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. This offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, networking, cybersecurity, and software management while supporting end-users with their IT-related needs.
Job Details
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime.
- IT Asset Management: Maintain an IT equipment inventory and report on system upgrades or replacements needed.
- Software Support: Help install, configure, and update software applications used within the organization.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on our network infrastructure.
- Other Duties: Perform any other IT-related tasks assigned by the Head of IT.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
