Jay Ireland is currently the Executive Chairman at Milele Energy, responsible for providing strategic oversight on the company’s investments in clean-energy projects.
A multi-industry executive, Jay has over 40 years’ experience across financial services, media, materials, project development and energy industries, with deep experience in emerging markets.
He worked with GE for 38 years during which he held multiple roles including GE Africa CEO and CEO, GE Asset Management. During this time, he drove financial, operational, and cultural change within GE, further expanding the company’s presence in Africa to 30 countries and growing the company’s African revenue to nearly $4 billion.
He is a Board member of MasterCard Foundation and Gates Corporation and also holds a Senior Managing Director role at Davis Partners Group.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from St. Lawrence University and currently sits on the U.S. Advisory Board of IESE Business School.
