For over 27 years, Kennedy’s life has been a journey guided by one constant: the open road. But for the Admin driver team lead at LTWP, driving is more than just a profession; it’s a foundation for service, leadership, and community.
Raised in Tum, Samburu County, Kennedy’s foundation was built in a humble, rural setting. After completing his primary education at Tum primary school, Kennedy took a decisive step by enrolling at Zebra Driving school in Nanyuki, where he earned his license which he supplemented with a background in basic mechanics.
His early career was a roadmap of experience having served in the local community as a private lorry driver at Tum Parish and later for organizations such as the German ASAL project in Samburu, Samburu Aiding Africa, BGP Project and Baragoi Secondary School; all roles that honed his skills and reputation for reliability. Kennedy’s connection with LTWP began in 2014, during the organization’s construction phase when he arrived not as an employee, but as a volunteer, using a private vehicle to ferry water and food to the security team. This seemingly small act of service foreshadowed a deeper connection, and he officially joined LTWP in 2025 as an admin driver.
His dedication did not go unnoticed and by 2018, he was promoted to admin driver team lead, a role he earned through proven merit and his knowledge of the terrain.

Today, his role is a blend of leadership and logistics where he motivates and supports his team of drivers, fostering high morale and productivity. He oversees the critical details of every journey ensuring proper load securing for the safe transportation of materials, equipment, and passengers. He regularly monitors driver performance, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules, while optimizing routes and workloads to improve operations and reduce costs. He also ensures every driver adheres to safety protocols and traffic regulations, maintaining a working environment where accidents are minimized and safety comes first.
For Kennedy, true achievement is not measured in titles, but in the daily operations that make LTWP a great place. Since joining LTWP, he has embraced continuous learning, undertaking trainings in fleet management, first aid, and advanced driving; always seeking to be better at his craft.

When asked what makes LTWP a great place, Kennedy’s answer is immediate and heartfelt. He points first to safety. “At LTWP, safety shapes our daily operations. LTWP is a hub where people from different cultures and with diverse experiences meet, and where respect is a foundation of every interaction.” He explains. Kennedy values the collaboration between employees and senior management that makes LTWP feel less like a workplace and more like a home. He is particularly proud of the annual education benefit which he describes as a tangible investment in people’s futures by LTWP. The team building and bonding activities, he adds, creates brotherly bonds that boost morale and unite the team.
Kennedy’s leadership is a dual role. At LTWP, he leads the admin drivers. At home, in his community, he is a respected elder., In his personal time, he finds rejuvenation at the gym, on peaceful nature walks, and in the company of his peers.
Kennedy’s life is a testament that the best journeys are those driven by purpose. With over 27 years of experience navigating some of Kenya’s most challenging terrain, he doesn’t just drive for LTWP; he helps steer its mission forward, ensuring that every journey is safe, dependable, and driven by a sense of purpose.
